Ad & Anny de Groot started their working lives running a family owned snack bar in Holland, churning out thousands of croquettes to hungry villagers.

In 1982 they decided to leave the rat race in Holland and emigrated with their young children to Nelson, New Zealand.

Their move back into croquettes came after they bought a store in Nelson and a Dutch woman walked in and asked if they made krokets.

Never one to miss an opportunity, Ad & Anny immediately said they did.

From initially making 20 krokets per week, their business steadily grew and since 2000, they shifted their business into a fully commercial equipped kitchen focusing only in making the best krokets and Frikadels

Even though the whole production line is fully automated, Ad de Groot insists that the actual making of the ragout can never be replaced by a machine without losing quality of the end product.

So if you looking for an authentic Dutch croquette or Frikadel made "Down Under" from the finest ingredients you have arrived at the right address.

Apart from being a wife, mother, hairdresser and company owner, Anny de Groot is also a remarkable artist.

Anny has been painting and drawing long before she immigrated to New Zealand from the Netherlands in the early 1980's.

Anny has always been drawn in portraying people from other cultures and backgrounds.
