Some of you might be asking yourself: "What's a kroket?"

We can imagine so.....
There are several ways to spell this beautiful word: Kroket, Croquet or Croquette. It was always believed to be invented by the Dutch, but it was based on a French concept: "Ragout". Nevertheless the Dutch were persistent and moulded the precious French Jewel into a more commercial form. The Kroket has never been as popular as it is today.
A Kroket is, if prepared correctly, some ragout, mixed with for example Beef or Chicken, given extra finesse by the addition of special herbs. This ragout is surrounded by a crispy layer of breadcrumbs.
The written or spoken words about the kroket will never be able to give an appropriate description of it. Neither does this explanation.
There's just one remedy for this.......EAT A KROKET

This is very simple as the Bitterballen are the same as the Krokets but smaller in size but as great in taste. This is why they are so popular with the catering companies, as they are guaranteed to be a hit at any party, wedding or any other social occassion. They are easy and quickly to serve with a dip of your choice and look delicious at the same time.
